Since Iryna Lazer alias Mavka’s brief performance at the opening of Werkstatt Exilmuseum met with such an enthusiastic response, we have now invited her to perform the evening-filling program of her sound collective in a solo version.

In this concert performance, Ukrainian musician Iryna Lazer engages with the war in her home country. She combines folk music motifs with modern musical elements like live-looping, ambient, and trance to create new songs and sound experiences with great intensity.

With unusual compositions and episodic narrative, the audience is invited to view the country and its resients or those who have fled from a new perspective.
