Lecture by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Benz

"The necessity of addressing exile: The topicality of flight and displacement"

Together with the Society for Exile Research, we cordially invite you to this special evening. Wolfgang Benz, one of the most renowned historians on the history of National Socialism and anti-Semitism research, will address the significance and enduring relevance of the topic of exile in his lecture. In addition, the Society for Exile Research will present Wolfgang Benz with an honorary membership. 

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Benz was director of the Centre for Research on Anti-Semitism at the Technical University of Berlin from 1990 to 2011, and during this time also served as chairman of the Society for Exile Research. He has published over 200 works on the history of National Socialism and on research into prejudice and anti-Semitism. One of his most recent publications is the 2025 volume ‘Exile: History of an Expulsion 1933–1945’ (C. H. Beck).
