Beyond Borders: A Conversation on Art and Exile
Journalist Yasmin Merei and poet Ghayath Almadhoun will share their thoughts on the presence of the political in poetry. Both come from Syria and now live in Berlin. Ghayath Almadhoun’s work has won several prizes. He describes exile as “living in the parallel.” The linguist and human rights activist Yasmin Merei directs a network for refugee women in Berlin.
