The Days of Exile have started! For four weeks, fifty events throughout the city will offer opportunities to explore past and present experiences of exile; to ponder the harms of political persecution and flight; and to investigate what it means to be uprooted, to lose one’s sense of belonging, and to endure alienation.
The Days of Exile program series, to be held in Berlin for the first time this year, are an initiative of the Körber-Stiftung Hamburg in collaboration with Stiftung Exilmuseum. Over forty Berlin organizations and cultural institutions—from museums, theaters and cinemas to municipal institutions and foundations—will host many diverse of events.
